My Life Verse:

323

Psa 40:1-3

1. To the chief
Musician, A
Psalm of
David.
I waited
patiently for
the LORD;
and he
inclined unto
me, and heard
my cry.
2. He brought
me up also
out of a
horrible pit,
out of the miry
clay, and set
my feet upon
a rock, and
established
my goings.
3. And he hath
put a new
song in my
mouth, even
praise unto
our God:
many shall
see it,
and fear,
and shall
trust in
the LORD.

Our Pastor,

Rev. Hicks Brown:

   My Life's Desire Is To:

   1.. Exalt the Savior

   2.. Evangelize Sinners

   3.. Equip the Saints

   4.. Expose Satan

Brother Hicks has been at Omar Heights since January of 2005 and has been God's man for this season at Omar Heights. He has a heart for God and the Spirit is using him to revitalize the body of Christ. His clear, Spirit led preaching of the word of God motivates sound foundational renewal, and builds faith in the heart of the believer. Bro Hicks believes the bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God and his preaching communicates this. This type of expository preaching is an illustration of how the wisdom of God through sincere preaching can move an individual into a deeper fellowship with God.  Bro Hicks is not just a fine minister of God's word but also a loving, caring brother in Christ. Anyone around him for any length of time will find that he is a Spirit formed individual.

These things are not said to exalt Bro Hicks, but are to magnify God in His ability to lead and nurture His church in a fallen world. So we offer up praise not to Bro Hicks, but to Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith as the one who is able to keep us from falling. To Bro Hicks, we are truly thankful of His willingness to be led, commitment, his heart of worship and his love for Christ. He and his family are a gift from God.
